Biography: 5’4”, 140lb. Parents are Ed and Cindy Slusar. Bobbi-Jo Slusar is more than just a quality hockey player; she is a leader through example. The Thunder will be the benefactors of another exceptional defenseman when she arrives shortly after Christmas. A great skater that plays with an edge, she knows exactly what it takes to succeed and will be a most welcomed addition to an already stalwart defensive core of players. Her dedication to fitness and commitment to meeting all challenges head on will certainly turn heads, both on and off the ice. The opposition will have their hands even fuller, once she arrives.

	The 2009-10 season is a fantastic opportunity for the young talent of the Brampton Thunder to demonstrate their skill. With veteran players leading the way and a coaching staff chock full of talent, the combination of youth, skill and experience will surely provide a season of entertainment for all. The Brampton Canadette Thunder are proud to be affiliated with one of women’s hockey’s most successful leagues, the Brampton Canadettes. With a proud history and a solid fan base, the Canadettes have been avid Thunder supporters for many years. Led by the team’s #1 fan, Mayor Susan Fennell, the City of Brampton has stood behind this two time Championship winning team over the past ten years. Women’s hockey at the elite level is alive and well in the Flower City!
